Pay The Price

Pay The Price

This song came as a cry from my soul as I was praying one day. At the
beginning of this year I had a yearning to get to a place where I had a
closer walk with God, dying to self and own will. As I prayed I said, “Lord
let me die, you paid a price for me, now the price I must pay is death to ME,
to self.” Out of that cry the song was written.

Lyrics

Pay the Price

Talk about heaven
We sing about theophanies
We want to change dimension
Lord how we long for our new bodies
And there’s a price I must pay
The cost is neither riches nor gold
All I have is my life that I want you to mould

CHORUS

I give my life I’ll pay the price
Just to be close to you Lord let me die
Full surrender laying it all on the altar
Just to be more like you
I’ll pay that price

Sweet Holy Spirit come now
and fill me and take away anything
That you know would hinder me
Though many times I’m weak in my body
And I suffer such much pain
All I want is to be completely sold out to Him

BRIDGE

We know that in death is victory
Yes it will be worth it all
When I stand in glory so take all of me
